In a groundbreaking initiative, Agricwealth Ghana is set to organize the first-ever Africa Agriculture Investment Summit at Cineworld, The O2, Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX, in less than two weeks.
This unprecedented gathering will bring together government officials, financial institutions, investors, logistics firms, project developers, commercial farmers, and players in the agro-food industry.
The primary objective of this summit is to unite industry stakeholders in a collective effort to explore the immense untapped agricultural potential in Ghana.
Anticipation runs high as the event aims to stimulate collaboration, unveil investment opportunities, and foster partnerships geared towards revitalizing rural economies in Ghana, addressing rural poverty, and curbing unemployment.
Notably, Agricwealth Ghana, in collaboration with its UK office, spearheads this endeavor, marking the first instance where a Ghanaian firm takes the lead in organizing Africans diaspora in the United Kingdom for a collaborative project with the goal of showcasing Ghana on the global stage for trade and investment opportunities. The summit is scheduled to commence on March 16, 2024, promptly at 10 am.
Ghana’s agriculture sector presents numerous investment opportunities, spanning poultry, animal feeds, rice production, value addition support, and various other domains. Despite boasting a significant agricultural investment portfolio, Ghana imported $2.6 billion worth of agricultural and related products in 2022.
In an effort to bolster investor confidence, the Ghanaian government has implemented various incentives, including tax exemptions on imported agricultural machinery.
It is against the backdrop of these developments that Agricwealth Ghana and its UK office seek to reshape the narrative by enticing potential investors to explore the benefits of investing in Ghana’s agriculture sector.
Recognizing that private sector participation is pivotal to transforming the fortunes of the agriculture sector, Agricwealth Ghana emphasizes the need for collective efforts to attract investors to leverage the abundant agrarian lands, climate resilience, and favorable weather patterns in Ghana to contribute significantly to feeding the world’s growing population.
