On four themed days during Agromek 2022, innovative solutions for a greener future for agriculture are presented
At Agromek 2022, the future and innovation area will be divided into four themed days, which with exhibition and debate will focus on some of the problems facing agriculture now and in the future.
On Agromek’s opening day, Tuesday 29 November, a welcome will be given to Future Food, Wednesday to Future Digital Solutions, Thursday to Future Machines and Friday to Future Ownership.
It is the broad political agreement from last autumn on the green transformation of Danish agriculture that is the background for the theme days.
– The agreement on a reduction of 55-65 percent of emissions until 2030 will in the coming time face the agricultural sector with some important choices that will move an entire industry towards the ambitious goal, says Agromek’s director, Claus Hermansen.
– At Agromek, with our themed days, we want to highlight four absolutely essential areas in this transition. As Northern Europe’s largest agricultural fair, we have a responsibility to present concrete solutions and debates that can help lead the industry into the future, continues Claus Hermansen.
Agromek’s Science Challenge
You will be able to experience the concrete solutions in Agromek’s Science Challenge, where six companies and organizations have presented a case to a group of university students. Towards Agromek, the group will work in collaboration with the company on the case that will be presented at Agromek. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning, there will be a presentation and assessment of the exciting cases.
The company RuleStore is one of the six companies that have submitted a case:
– We want RuleStore to become an active player in the agricultural industry of the future. Through the Science Challenge at Agromek, we will gain increased insight into the agro-industrial companies’ interest, readiness and need for digital solutions to handle future agricultural customers’ wishes and development opportunities in connection with solution sales, says managing director Mads Kjærgaard Larsen, managing director, RuleStore.
At the same time, the exhibition and the presence of key players in the industry such as SEGES Innovation, the Technological Institute and the Food & Bio Cluster will present solutions and proposals for the food of the future, digital solutions, machines and ownership.
– The agriculture of the future is digital. And the farmers are well on their way – not least with digital solutions from SEGES Innovation. The development within digital technologies certainly does not stand still, and therefore the digital solutions of the future will provide even more new and innovative opportunities to develop agriculture. So of course it is obvious for SEGES Innovation to be part of the innovation and future area at Agromek, says director Ivar Ravn, SEGES Innovation.
Fremtidens Dage will also feature an exhibition in the Growth area, where exciting and innovative companies present their proposals for future solutions to agricultural challenges.
The area will also contain a stage where the theme of the day will be debated and projects based on the theme will be presented. On Wednesday 30 November, the Digital Solutions of the Future will be in the centre, and here SqM-Farm, which is a project between Agrointelli, Conpleks, Fieldsense, University of Southern Denmark and Aarhus University, will present their results.
Agromek 2022 will be held from Tuesday 29 November to Friday 2 December 2022 in MCH Messecenter Herning.
